Learning to learn
Conditions for learning
In this video we will be taking a close look at the conditions that allow the developing brain to achieve greater and greater abilities in decision making. What we know about human development can unlock the mystery of how we become the fantastic problem solvers we are.
The guiding relationship
The Guiding Relationship is how human development works. The developing child learns to take communicative cues from the parent. This happens when the parent successfully engages their child in co-experiencing interactions where the child is experiencing and responding to their parent as the guide. In this video I will be presenting a child that does not have autism to illustrate what the guiding relationship looks like.
Dynamic intelligence
The real world is full of unpredictability. We are confronted daily with decisions that have no clear or correct solutions. Human beings have had to confront the reality of uncertainty for thousands of years, which is why our unique human brains are designed to not only accomplish complex tasks, but to enjoy taking them on. In this video we will look closely at dynamic intelligence.
