Orientation - The Nuts and Bolts
During this phase, the consultant and the parents come together and establish a schedule for consultation. When starting out, it is highly recommended to meet weekly, since beginnings are fragile and the learning curve is steep.
The focus during orientation is on parent learning via the RDI Learning Community; the educational curriculum for RDI. It is through this platform that the consultant designs highly personalized assignments and resources for the family. And it is where the family posts assignments for review by the consultant. Once families reach the phase of “Building Independence”, they can end their subscription if they wish.
