Developing RDI as a lifestyle

By the time parents reach this milestone they are feeling more confident in establishing conducive conditions in planed engagements.  As a result, their learning is starting to become more internalized.  They start to feel a new level of awareness and mindfulness that remains consistent throughout the day, and can more easily transfer their learning during spontaneous moments; or what we call “RDI on the fly”.

Most parents feel an acceleration of growth during this phase, as both parent an child are becoming more mindful and aware.  Parents feel they don’t need to “support” as much, since the child is taking on more responsibility for their role.   Engagements begin to feel more effortless and natural.  It is here that many start to feel a more typical relationship with their child.

What to expect during this phase.

    • You and the consultant will likely reduce consulting hours.
    • You will be taking on more responsibility for your learning and requiring less support from the consultant.
    • You feel more capable in determining mastery of planned objectives.
    • You notice that you are able to employ RDI principles in spontaneous situations without prior planning.
